On Saturday, Apr. 25, a debate featuring the candidates for Montana Governor was held via teleconference (recorded prior to the broadcast), sponsored by Montana Farmers Union, United States Cattlemen’s Association, Montana Cattlemen’s Association and Northern Plains Resource Council.
The first segment of the debate featured the Republican candidates: Attorney General Tim Fox and MT Senator Al Olszewski. (Candidate Greg Gianforte did not participate.) The second segment featured Democratic candidates Lt. Gov. Mike Cooney and Whitney Williams. Questions focused on agricultural topics such as country-of-origin labeling, healthcare and COVID-19 as it relates to agriculture.
