J Shell is joined today by Kindra Ramos, the Communications Director for Washington Trails Association, to talk about hiking in the State of Washington. A lifelong lover of the outdoors and grass root movements, Kindra loves to help people find ways they can help change the world for the better and is thrilled she gets to work every day doing that protect to trails and public lands. Although living in the city, Kindra finds her problems always feel smaller when she is among big trees. Her family spent summers exploring the Redwoods when she was young. Now she lives and explores in Washington thrilled to have ocean beaches, desert wildflowers and mountain vistas all within easy reach. Her favorite hikes are quiet walks in the woods or meadows where she can sit and watch the wildlife for hours or maybe nap on a rock by a lake.
