Join us as we talk with Tom Rust about his new book, “Watching Over Yellowstone: The US Army’s Experience in America’s First National Park, 1886 – 1918.” We talk about the book, his thoughts on the symbolism of Yellowstone National Park, and a chapter that was left out of the book, and why. Thomas C. Rust is professor of history at Montana State University Billings. He is the author of Lost Fort Ellis: Frontier History of Bozeman, as well as articles in many publications, including Montana: The Magazine of Western History, Archaeology in Montana, and Military History of the West.
