Ep. 400

As of Monday, April 26, 2021, Montana reports 108,111 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 16 new cases reported in the last day: 7 in Flathead County, 3 in Park County, 2 in Missoula County, and more new cases in 4 more Montana counties. Many counties did not report over the weekend, and so official case counts do not include Gallatin County and other recent high case-number reporters. The number of active coronavirus cases in Montana is 965. Currently, 47 people are being treated in Montana hospitals for COVID-19. The most active cases are in Gallatin, Yellowstone, Cascade, Missoula, and Flathead Counties. 1,563 people have died in Montana of COVID-19. Nationwide, more than 572,000 Americans have died of COVID-19. There have been 32,100,000 cases of coronavirus in the US, and counting.

Montana will receive a second U.S. House seat, becoming the first state once relegated to at-large status to regain a second representative. The U.S. Census Bureau announced state-level population data Monday, showing Montana with just enough growth to shed its at-large status.

Heller in 2008 that the Second Amendment provides an individual right to keep a handgun at home for self-defense.
