Hear the sounds of the Big Sky Pride Parade and Rally and listen to interviews with Akilah Lane, Amelia Marquez and Kev Hamm. Akilah Lane is an attorney with the ACLU of Montana, which is leading a lawsuit challenging a new law that makes it difficult, if not impossible, for transgender Montanans to correct the sex designation on their birth certificates. Amelia Marquez, a trans woman born and raised in Billings, is the named plaintiff in Marquez v. State. Kev Hamm is the lead organizer of Big Sky Pride and served as MC for the rally at which Amelia and many other allied groups and individuals made statements. For more information on supporting the transgender community in our state visit TransVisible Montana.
