Jay talks with John Davis, the Executive Director of the Rewilding Institute. John is located in the Adirondack Mountains of upper New York state, but Rewilding has staff associates located throughout the United States working on a great variety of environmental, wilderness, public lands and wildlife issues. John grew up in New Hampshire and New York states and has trekked all over the country. He is a graduate of St. Olaf’s College in Minnesota and has worked for the past thirty-six years with Dave Foreman, the founder of Rewilding Institute and one of the early associates of Ed Abbey in the Desert Southwest. Here John talks about Rewilding Institute’s unique involvement in the effort to preserve and enhance the natural environment.
