On the evening of November 12, 2025, The Hager Auditorium at the Museum of the Rockies was filled to capacity with people who had come to hear The Bozeman Library Friends and Foundation’s 10th Symbozium, entitled, THE FUTURE OF INTELLIGENCE: ARE WE READY FOR AGI?

The Foundation’s Executive Director, Janay Johnson, introduced the speakers: Sarah Myers West, Co-director of AI Now; John Sheppard, Distinguished Professor of Computer Science at Montana State University; and Charlie Warzel, Staff Writer at The Atlantic; as well as the panel’s moderator, Tim Lockie, Founder of The Human Stack. We regret that the beginning seconds of Janay Johnson’s introduction were cut off due to technical issues, but we are glad that they were resolved quickly, and we hear her now.
