Candidate Forum for Montana House Districts 63, 64, and 65 and Senate District 33
On Oct. 9, 2024, the Bozeman Area League of Women Voters, American Association of University Women, Belgrade Community Library, and Bozeman Public Library hosted a forum for the candidates for Montana House Districts 63, 64, and 65, and Senate District 33. The event was held at the Bozeman Public Library. Sally Maison of the League of Women Voters moderated the discussion. The candidates for HD 63 were Mark Lewis and Peter Strand. Candidates for HD 64 were Jolene Crum and incumbent Kelly Kortum. The candidates for HD 65 were Brian Close and Esther Fishbaugh (who could not attend the forum). The candidates for SD 33 were Neal Ganser and incumbent Christopher Pope.

HD 67 & HD 68 Candidate Forum
On Oct. 1, 2024, the Bozeman Area League of Women Voters, American Association of University Women, Belgrade Community Library, and Bozeman Public Library hosted a forum for the candidates for Montana House Districts 67 and 68. The event was held at the Belgrade Community Library. Jane Arntzen Schumacher of the League of Women Voters moderated the discussion. The candidates for HD 67 were Carl Anderson and incumbent Jedediah Hinkle. The candidates for HD 68 were Alex Colafrancesco and incumbent Caleb Hinkle.

CI 126 & CI 127 Issue Forum
On Oct. 2, 2024, the Bozeman Area League of Women Voters, American Association of University Women, Bozeman Public Library, and Belgrade Community Library hosted a forum to discuss the pros and cons of CI 126 and CI 127, two issues that will be on the November general election ballot. The event was held at the Bozeman Public Library. Jane Arntzen Schumacher of the League of Women Voters moderated the discussion. Frank Garner spoke in support of the initiatives, and Matthew Monforton spoke in opposition.

On Sep. 30, 2024, the Bozeman Area League of Women Voters, American Association of University Women, Bozeman Public Library, and Belgrade Community Library hosted a forum to discuss the pros and cons of upcoming initiative CI-128, which would add protections for abortion to the Montana State Constitution. The event was held at the Bozeman Public Library.

On Sep. 16, 2024, Bozeman Tenants United organized and conducted a forum for candidates for the City of Bozeman’s Local Government Study Commission. All candidates were invited to participate, but only part of them could attend the event. It was held in the Boyd Room at Pilgrim United Congregational Church in Bozeman.

Following the forum for candidates for the open seats on the Belgrade School Board that was held at the Belgrade Community Library on Apr. 22, 2024, Dede Frothingham, the superintendent of the Belgrade School District, gave a presentation on the upcoming bond issue to build a new school that will be on the spring school board election ballot.
