City of Bozeman Charter Ballot Issues
On Tuesday, Sep. 29, 2026, The Bozeman Area League of Women Voters sponsored a discussion of the issues that will be on the ballot that were generated by the City of Bozeman Local Government Study Commission. Two of the members of the study commission, Jan Strout and Becky Franks, presented information about the proposed changes to the City charter and described the ballot issue that will decide whether the modified charter will be adopted or the current charter will be retained. They also described the three sub-options that will be decided by voters if the new charter is adopted. They then answered questions from the audience.
The event was held at the City of Bozeman Public Safety Center and was moderated by Jane Arntzen Shoemaker of the League of Women Voters.
There are a number of additional forums that will present candidates and issues that will be on the November ballot. You can see a schedule on kgvm.org, and as the forums are held, we will have the recordings available on the website under Election 2026.
