Where do magpies nest? Why doesn’t a spider stick to its own web? How do water striders keep from sinking? The program Field Notes, produced and aired by the Montana Natural History Center and Montana Public Radio, has been answering such questions since 1991. The producers are generously sharing this fascinating material with KGVM. Please visit the original Field Notes web page for the full archive of all episodes.

There are a plethora of talented musicians in the Gallatin Valley and nearby. Each week, we invite an artist or band into the KGVM studios to talk about their music, songwriting, and the Bozeman music scene, and we invite them to perform some of their songs.
Here are the Local Musicians’ Spotlights, starting with the most recent. If they were broadcast from Lokken Productions’ studios in Belgrade, the entry includes a link to the YouTube video that was live streamed at the same time as the KGVM broadcast. Otherwise, there’s a link to the audio from the episode broadcast from the KGVM studios. If you visit the Lokken Productions YouTube channel and click “Subscribe”, you will find out about new videos as they are posted too.

Atoms are the basic components of matter. You meet atoms every day that behave like nature’s indestructible Legos. In these encounters atoms are not created or destroyed. Rather, atoms can form specific attachments, in a way like various lego pieces, that give rise to familiar structures called molecules. Montana State University chemist Bill McLaughlin is your host for Monday’s Molecule, introducing and explaining a different familiar molecule each week.
You can contact Bill via an email to: Mondaysmolecule@gmail.com for any questions you may have. You can also suggest other interesting molecules to feature on the program.
Beautifully Equipped is about finding your genius through collaboration; about being real and raw about the stories and experiences that shape each of us individually; about trusting others we share those experiences with to help us grow and problem solve; and about being solutionary to others. Our goal is for all of us to become collectively unshakeable and even more successful in our personal and professional endeavors.
We deliver these messages through podcasts and other tools developed by us and those we interview. We’re four biz women who came together, and thrive together, through the power of being in a mastermind group. Collaborating has taught us that multiple minds are better than one.
