You Are Admirable is an interview project of Steven Harris-Weiel to learn to cultivate in himself, the qualities he admires in others. “My goal is to learn how the people I admire in my life came to be so admirable, and then find out how the people they admire in their lives got to be that way as well.” You can see video versions of Steven’s interviews on his website or YouTube channel.

In this episode you will hear how Chris Cunningham began his musical career, starting from performing at talent night at Bozeman High School, to recording his first songs with John Hermanson in 1987, to getting invited to Prairie Home Companion and elsewhere. Todd Hoberecht
In this episode, we get to chill with Todd Hoberecht. He is an actor, director, occasional inner-tuber, and used to be a pastor. Todd, or “wa-hoo” Todd, as I now know him as, is a funny, fascinating, friend to me and so many others, and I feel very blessed and charmed to have been able to interview him.

Missy O’Malley
Missy is currently an anchor, reporter, and producer at a TV station, as well as just someone dear to my heart. In this very first episode, we explore some of the many, many things Missy has done, including becoming a colonel; we get to learn a bit about her family, her philanthropic work and attempt to get Ellen to come to Bozeman, her struggles with time management, and much more.

EJ Porth
In this episode we’re chatting with EJ Porth. There are a lot of titles EJ owns: communicator, connector, organizer, manager, fundraiser, non-profit nerd, volunteer, supportive sister…and of course…badass. This interview covers a lot of her badass-ness and it was such a joy to learn just how incredible EJ is.

Eric Funk
In this installment, we’re chatting with Eric Funk of PBS show 11th and Grant fame, Montana State University fame, and expansive music fame. I would have said one of the best ways to describe Eric would be musical genius…and after this interview I would expand that to life genius. Eric has been all over the world, and has some incredible stories to share. Listen also to Eric’s Provost’s Lecture.
