Here  are the stories that will be featured at the next PechaKucha Night at the Ellen Theatre, Tuesday, Nov. 5 and Wednesday, Nov. 6 Both nights start at 6:40 p.m.

Dayle Hayes will describe the challenges and joys of living without a car in Bozeman, Kate Stoddard will tell us why we should all be eating a lot more insects and renowned environmental writer Todd Wilkinson will talk about the fascinating case of Grizzly Bear #399 and her generations of offspring.

Other speakers include: Shane Mayer-Gawlik on Montana nightscapes and how to look at a galaxy from the inside out; Ritchie Boyd, with a humorous take on getting in touch with his Scottish heritage; Joel Ellefson on America’s great forgotten wildfire and Austin Dayton on the future of public transportation in Bozeman.

Zuzana Gedeon will offer an ode to the many joys of cooking and eating lentils, Paul Byrne will sing the praises of talking to strangers, Robin Hill of Big Sky Youth Empowerment will describe the power of using art to reach out to kids and Morning Star fourth-grader Ezra Graham will describe his composting project.

Emcee for the event is KBZK morning anchor, auctioneer and Bozeman personality and jokester Missy O’Malley.

PechaKucha (peh-chak-cha) offers anyone with a passion or a vision–designers, artists, inventors, architects, adventurers, entrepreneurs—an opportunity to share their ideas with the community during a fast-paced, friendly social get-together. There’s just one catch—presenters have only 20 slides x 20 seconds each, a total of 6 minutes, 40 seconds!
