In connection with the exhibitions Polar Obsession and Into the Arctic, the Museum of the Rockies presented an Arctic Evening with the Experts. featuring MSU scientists Mark Skidmore and John Priscu, both of whom have long experience not only at the North and South Poles, but also the third Pole: mountain glaciers. Their fascination has been with the life that exists under these conditions. Looking to the future, our understanding of ice and its life will inform missions to Mars to explore its ice cap.
