Operation Therapy recently purchased 20 acres in Gallatin Gateway to establish the largest service dog training center in America.

As you will hear in this interview, they also include trained miniature horses in their community based programs. And it’s not only veterans who benefit from Operation Therapy’s work. Once they have trained an animal, it begins its working within the community for the betterment of all the residents. A constant flow of newly trained therapy animals are seen on the local streets, hospitals and elder care facilities nearby.

Bob Olejar co-founded Operation Therapy with Tonya Comfort, who heads the Equine Operations. Bob is the Chairman and Executive Director. In addition to his decades long innovative career in Hollywood, he has a long history of assisting charities of all types – from the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Wounded Warriors, the American Red Cross, Together 1 Heart, to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, among dozens more.
He is currently responsible for dealing with the realities of turning their 20 acres in Gallatin Gateway, with ramshackle barn and ranch buildings after the first serious winter storm into the largest service animal training center in America, and he’s mighty glad to experience the warm Montana welcome and helping hands of his new neighbors.

Operation Therapy is dedicated to serving our veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, regardless of age, gender, race, sexual orientation, or any other potentially protected demographic factors. Because the top 3 underlying pre-trauma risk factors for developing PTSD are Age (youth), Gender (female), and race (non-white), they are committed to serving these groups in a proportionately representational manner.
