In this One Book One Bozeman event around Jamie Ford’s novel Love and Other Consolation Prizes, an expert panel discussed the social, historical, and medical issues surrounding syphilis. Participants were Dr. Jennifer Hill, faculty in MSU’s American Studies program; Crystal Alegria, Project Archaeology coordinator, director of the Montana Site Stewardship Program, and co-founder of the Extreme History Project; and Cindi Spinelli, Communicable Disease Specialist at Gallatin City County Health Department. The moderator was Heidi Robison.
