Four of the Democratic candidates for Montana’s lone U.S. House seat assembled for a forum moderated by former Montana Supreme Court Justice Mike Wheat. Wheat presented the panel of John Heenan, Grant Kier, Kathleen Williams, and Jared Pettinato with a variety of questions and gave each candidate the same amount of time to answer.

The forum is split into two segments; the first segment includes candidate introductions and a round of questions where each candidate was given two minutes to respond. The second segment includes a “lightning round” of yes-or-no questions, then a round of questions that were submitted by the audience, where each candidate again had two minutes to respond.

The forum was sponsored by the Gallatin County Democrats. It was held at the Rialto Theater in downtown Bozeman on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018.
