We took Christmas Eve off, and there were no new numbers to report on Christmas Day. But as of Thursday, Dec. 24, Montana reported 78,929 cases of COVID-19, with 538 new cases reported in the last day. There were 75 in Missoula County, 71 in Yellowstone County, 66 in Gallatin County, 57 in Flathead County, 44 in Lewis and Clark County, 31 in each of Cascade and Silver Bow Counties, and additional cases in 32 other Montana Counties. There have been 3,406 people hospitalized in Montana due to COVID-19, and there are 241 people currently in the hospital. There are 7,837 active cases. 916 people have died of COVID-19 in Montana.
