The NFL has fined the Green Bay Packers $300,000 and its quarterback Aaron Rodgers $15,000 for violating the NFL and the NFL Player’s Association’s joint COVID-19 protocols. Rodgers, who is unvaccinated, told reporters in late July he was “immunized,” but he petitioned the NFL not to be vaccinated.

The Bozeman School District last week had its highest COVID-19 rates since the pandemic started, with case rates in the elementary schools higher than those in the middle and high schools. Last school year, the district reported its greatest number of weekly cases the week before Thanksgiving with 48 adult and student cases. For the week of Nov. 5 of this year, the district reported 58 adult and student cases. Since school started, there have been 349 confirmed adult and student cases in Bozeman schools, with 184 at the elementary level, 61 at the middle school level, 94 from the high school level and 10 in district administration.

The Bozeman School Board has approved paid COVID-19 leave for employees and an additional stipend for teachers in response to impacts from increasing COVID-19 cases in the schools, particularly in the elementary schools, and in recognition of the additional work teachers are doing to address learning gaps from the first year-and-a-half of the pandemic.
