Learning at the Children’s Museum and STEAM Lab

The Children’s Museum of Bozeman and the integral STEAM Lab (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) have seen a rapid growth in visitors in the last few years. Perhaps that’s related to the ever-growing presence of tech companies in the Bozeman area. But it’s also a result of the outreach and program development by museum staff, advisors, and volunteers. Recently, Executive Director Abby Turner and Director of Education Natalia Kolnik spoke about what’s going on at the Museum, how learning takes place in that environment, and what strategies are used for teaching not only science, but also collaboration and career exploration.

This Philanthropy Fridays event was recorded at Foundant Technologies on August 31, 2018.
